Breaking Raygun steals the show

Mike Jeffreys

Mike is joined by Nic Hayes, Media Commentator and Managing Director of Media Stable, to discuss the Paris Olympic Committee’s gamble on introducing breakdancing, which by all account has paid off.

Australia’s first Olympic breakdancer, Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn, became an overnight internet sensation despite not scoring in the competition, even overshadowing Snoop Dogg’s appearance.

Her performance went viral on social media, making her a memorable figure in Olympic history, even though Ami Yuasa of Japan won the gold.

Raygun’s unique ‘kangaroo-hopping’ moves in her green and gold tracksuit will be remembered for years to come.
