Bullying claims are rarely clear-cut

The tragic suicide of 12-year-old Charlotte from Sydney’s Santa Sabina College highlights the challenges of managing bullying in modern organizations.

Mike speaks with Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, Psychiatrist & Social Commentator, who explains that the lines between bullies and victims are often blurred.

Since the 1970s, the definition of bullying has evolved, now focusing on systemic risks rather than individual behaviors, with the rise of online bullying further complicating the issue.

While bullying is never acceptable, as the headmaster noted, increasing accusations must be approached with caution to avoid misinterpretation.
