By-elections in Bega, Monaro, Willoughby & Strathfield this weekend

Luke Grant

Tomorrow in NSW is a super Saturday of by-elections with four in the seats of Bega, Monaro, Willoughby & Strathfield triggered by the resignations of Andrew Constance, John Barilaro, Gladys Berejiklian & Jodi McKay..

The counts in Bega and Monaro could take longer than usual due to the extended deadline for postal votes although we’re told more than 17 percent of voters in Monaro and 23 per cent of voters in Bega have cast early ballots.

But that is not enough to guarantee that the results in either seat will be known by Saturday night.

Luke Grants talk to senior reporter Clinton Maynard who has spent the week attending Dominic Perrottet press conferences where he says the by-elections have hardly rated a mention.
