Changes to gun laws could see trouble for the Coalition at the next election

Luke Grant

Luke Grant speaks with Robert Borsak, NSW Upper House Member & Leader of the Shooters Fishers & Farmers party, to follow up on an issue raised by a listener last week about the anger within the licensed firearms community.

The listener suggested that the one million licensed firearm owners are waiting for the federal government come election time. Now whilst this is essentially a state based issue, the first chance these people will get to make their feelings known will be this year’s federal poll.

In a recent social media post, Mr Borsak says the Government and the NSW Police intends to hold licensed firearm owners responsible for the failings and poor management of the Firearm Registry under former Commissioner Fuller.  This of course follows a review of firearms regulations following the enquiry into the vile murders committed by John Edwards.
