Chatbots transform shopping, but Aussies stay wary of rapid changes

Chatbots are revolutionizing shopping, from gift selection and virtual try-ons to deal scanning and visual searches via tools like Google Lens. Amazon now offers AI-driven purchases and personalized buying guides for items ranging from TVs to face creams.

In Australia, nearly a third of shoppers are more open to chatbots this year, with even those aged 55+ showing interest, according to a Zendesk study.

However, Richard Valente, EVP of Business Solutions at TP, highlights to Clinton that many Australians remain cautious about the rapidly evolving shopping landscape.
