Concerns over industrial action at one of the largest sugar mills

Lobby groups warn cane growers are the unintended victims of industrial action..as the fair work commission orders a suspension of strike action at one of the country’s largest mills.

Workers at the Wilmar sugar mills have been carrying out industrial action as a result of a pay dispute.

Canegrowers is urging Wilmar and it’s workers to come to an agreement quickly.

Rural Reporter Emily Minney spoke with Chairman Owen Menkens about how the dispute is affecting growers the most:
