Cooking with Sarah Boorer

Clinton Maynard

Mike Jeffreys is joined by Sarah Boorer, Communications professional & CWA award-winning cook, to look at the world of baked goods, delicious treats and & easy recipes.

This week Sarah whips up Cheesy Ham Scrolls (recipe courtesy of Taste.com.au)

5 ingredients
2 sheets frozen ready-rolled puff pastry, thawed
3 tbsp pizza sauce
100g sliced ham, chopped
3/4 cup (65g) grated cheddar
1 egg, lightly beaten

Method

Step 1
Spread the pizza sauce over the pastry, leaving a 2cm border around the edge of
the pastry. Scatter over the ham and cheese.
Step 2
Brush the edge of the pastry with the egg. Starting from one side, roll up the pastry
tightly to enclose the filling. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2
hours.

Step 3
Preheat oven to 200°c. Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper. Brush the
two rolls with the egg. Cut each roll into 10 slices. Place cut-side up on the lined
trays. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Serve warm, or cold as a lunch box
snack.
