Drought hits farm incomes
Drought conditions across South East Australia has seen the average farm cash income for broad acre farms drop by about $70,000 year-on-year.
Annual reporting from ABARES found while incomes are significantly down across most sectors, they’re not to the levels of the millennium drought.
