Farmers concerned about the hold of duopolies on the regions

Farmers are renewing calls for a crackdown on anti-competitive behaviour from some of the nation’s largest companies, saying it’s a drain on the bush.

The New South Wales Farmers Association is pushing for the introduction of divestiture powers, amid ongoing concern about price gouging at the supermarket, and the potential collapse of regional airline, REX.

Rural Reporter Emily Minney spoke with President Xavier Martin, who says it’s time major companies were brought into line.
