Farmers fury at inadequate Victorian freight rail network | “it’s like we’re operating a rail network in a third world country”
Victorian grain growers are urging the state’s government to spend big to fix the freight rail network.
The state is in line to produce 9 million tonnes of grain this season, nearly 6 million of that will need transporting to the state’s ports to be sent to export markets.
The government is funding a revised version of the Murray Basin Rail Project that was meant to be finished two years ago
