Holden introduces 7-year warranty for rest of the year
Next Friday October 20 Holden pulls the shutters down on local car making. For nearly 70 years Australia’s iconic car maker has been the symbol of our manufacturing ability – leaving behind a
legacy of providing affordable motoring to a burgeoning post –war country. On October 20 the last Holden Commodore will roll down the production line at Holden’s Elizabeth Plant in South Australia. And this weekend in Melbourne at Australia’s largest and most prestigious classic car show Motorlassica Holden will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of when the Holden Motor Body Works in Adelaide began producing bodies on a large scale. Holden are showcasing five generations of Commodore including the VB, VN, VT, VE and next year’s imported ZB model. To mark its
manufacturing closure Holden has extended its three-year warranty to seven-years or 175,000 kms until the end of the year. MotorClassica also showcases 23 heritage model Holden’s including the 48/215 prototype, the Efigy show car, the Hurricane sportscar and the Torana GTR-X. I’m David Berthon
