Labor accused of playing “cheap politics” over flood assistance
Luke Grant checks in with Kevin Hogan, Federal MP for Page and Assistant Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister and for local government, for an update on how the flood recovery is going around Lismore – which has been described by the local water company as a one in 3,500 year event.
Also, federal Labor has been accused of playing “cheap politics” after claiming Liberal electorates were prioritised for flood assistance. There’s a Labor senator in Queensland, Murray Watts, who seems now to be Labor’s chief head kicker, blaming the federal government for everything and playing politics with disasters.
