Lioness or wild boar on the loose in forests outside Berlin?

This was the sighting that launched 200 armed police, a fleet of drones, helicopters and even a tank – all at a cost to German taxpayers of hundreds of thousands of euros. And now the supposed lioness stalking the forests of Berlin is believed to be a wild boar. Why do we love a big cat story and why is so much of our Australian folklore based on them? Michael McLaren is joined by Dr David Waldon – lecturer in history and anthropology at Federation University in Ballarat who has studied this phenomenon.
