Outer Sydney surges in solar adoption

Clinton Maynard

Sydney’s outer suburbs are embracing solar energy and battery storage, while established areas like Mosman lag behind.

Clinton speaks with David Sedighi, COO of VoltX Energy, who highlights data showing Marsden Park residents are 87% more likely to adopt solar compared to just 16% in Mosman.

He attributes the rise in newer suburbs to government mandates for energy-efficient home construction and notes older homes are missing out on rebates that could lower power bills, with battery demand expected to surge as they become more affordable.
