Producers welcome live export rule changes
Producers are welcoming amendments to rules in place for live sheep exports to, or through, the Middle East during summer months.
The Department of Agriculture has been reviewing measures in place to manage heat stress.
Sheep can now be taken via the Red Sea until the 14th of June, but cannot travel to Persian Gulf destinations during May – unless heat management conditions are met.
