Prostate cancer survivor urges early testing

Clinton Maynard

Clinton is joined by James Murray, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer which was successfully treated with surgery because it was caught early

Mr Murray urges men, especially those with a family history, to get tested for prostate cancer, stressing that many avoid screening.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men, with over 200,000 affected, and it develops when abnormal prostate cells form a malignant tumor.

Men with a family history face higher risks and should remain vigilant.
