Prostate pressure higher in the bush

Telenursing service staff are pushing for changes to Clinical Practice Guidelines, to help detect prostate cancer in its earliest stages.

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia data shows around 25% of men in rural areas calling for help are severely distressed, compared with 6% of people in the city.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke spoke with Supportive Care Programs General Manager Bernard Riley to hear more about the issue, and how they’re working with government to bridge the gap.
