‘Pyng’ app could save Aussies billions in card surcharge fees

Australians could save billions in tap-and-go card surcharge fees with help from Sydney-based startup Pyng.

Australians currently pay over AUD $4 billion annually in these fees, according to the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), which plans to address the issue with a review later this year.

Pyng’s payment app aims to eliminate surcharges, offering a faster, safer, and cost-free solution for both consumers and businesses, CEO Dipra Ray tells Clinton Maynard.
