Queensland faces a defective apartment nightmare

A damning Apartment Living Report reveals more than half of the Queensland residents surveyed are living in apartments and units with significant defects and there is new concern the rising cost of materials is leading to builders taking the same shortcuts that have plagued the New South Wales construction sector.

Luke Grant is joined by Australian Apartment Advocacy CEO, Samantha Reece, who says the lack of clear access to information about buying an apartment has left many current apartment owners with inherited “defect debt” and those looking to buy an apartment unsure what to look out for.
