Safety courses proposed for farm kids

Researchers are working to develop a safety course for teenagers, living in the bush, to help reduce the number of deaths on farms.

A James Cook University Study shows the injury risk for adolescents on farms differs significantly from young children, and adults.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with co-author Professor Richard Franklin to hear about potential hazards and how little has been done to try and mitigate injury risks for those under the age of 15.
