Senator Thorpe disrupts King Charles’ address accusing him of genocide

Clinton Maynard

Clinton is joined by Katie Fuller, Nine Radio’s Royal correspondent, to discuss the events following Senator Lidia Thorpe’s confrontation with King Charles during his address at Australia’s Parliament House yesterday.

Thorpe interrupted the ceremony in Canberra, shouting for about a minute before being escorted out by security.

She accused the King of genocide against “our people” and could be heard yelling, “This is not your land, you are not my King.”
