Michael speaks with John Engeler, CEO of Shelter NSW & Chair of National Shelter, about lack of public housing & homelessness continuing to be one of the greatest social and economic challenges faced in 2022.

Exacerbated by events including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, the reasons for homelessness are as diverse as they are complex.

In 2020-2021 over 100,000 people came to homeless services needing long-term housing as Homelessness Australia calls on state and federal governments to invest in 50,000 homes a year, believing the plan would end homelessness within a decade.
