Subaru crosstrek arrives replacing the XV model

The Subaru XV SUV arrived back in 2012 and quickly carved out a strong
following
Gaining almost 110,000 sales over two model generations. The third generation
has just arrived with a name change aligning it to overseas market where it is
called the Crosstrek. Now available in three petrol and two hybrids with the entry
2.0-litre petrol Crosstrek rising in price over the old 2.0-litre XV by $1,800, now
starting at $34,990 plus-on-road costs, the most affordable hybrid L starting at
$38,590, the Hybrid S topping out the Crosstrek range at $45,090. The new
Crosstrek is underpinned by a revised platform and fresh technology but
essentially has the same flat four-cylinder petrol and mild hybrid power trains
including a CVT transmission as used on the XV. I look forward to driving it in
