Luke is joined by Keith Wolahan, Victorian Liberal MP, former soldier and barrister, who led the Coalition’s cross-examination on the Voice referendum joint parliamentary committee.

Mr Wolahan discusses why he and his colleagues released a dissenting report after the government-controlled committee released their report, which claimed there was nothing significant to address.

He says there is no justifiable reason for the government to establish a committee to consider a permanent change to the country’s constitution within a short six-week timeframe.

This timeframe included receiving submissions, conducting public hearings nationwide and reporting back to Parliament on the legal implications of the constitutional change.

Mr Wolahan argues that they actually had less time than four weeks to complete these tasks.
