The concussion management blackhole in footy codes exposed

Luke speaks with Dr Adrian Cohen, Concussion researcher & advocate at NuroSafe, for his opinion on why so many sports don’t do enough to address head injuries.

“What a weekend for Australian sport as each one of our four football codes seeks to prove who can dive deepest to the bottom of concussion management blackhole”, says Dr Cohen.

“Every time one sport has a concussion issue, another pops up. Like the old fairground game ‘whack-a-mole’.”

“Surprisingly appropriate, given it’s all about hitting (animals) in the head.”
