The rise of cosmetic surgery regret

Clinton Maynard

Mike is joined by Amanda Lambros, a relationship counselor and sexologist, to discuss the self-reported regret experienced by numerous cosmetic surgery patients.

According to a UK research poll, 60% of surveyed participants expressed regret regarding aesthetic surgery, with unmet expectations emerging as the most prevalent reason.

The number of breast implant removals, referred to as explants, has surged by over six times in Australia over the last ten years, as indicated by recent Medicare data.

This once uncommon procedure is now experiencing such a rapid rise in demand that it is projected to become one of the most sought-after surgeries in 2024.
