Trump turns an attempted assassination into a media opportunity
Clinton is joined by Scott Taylor, a Behavior Profiling Expert and Security Specialist, who criticises the security response during the weekend’s attempted assassination of former President Trump.
Mr Taylor states that Trump’s protection team should not have allowed him to stand and expose himself after the initial cover.
The now iconic image of Trump with his fist raised, shirt open, and face bloodied posed a risk of a second shooter and security protocols should have kept Trump low and covered for evacuation.
Trump’s decision to pause and pump his fist was an unacceptable risk for media coverage as future security measures at rallies may include bulletproof barriers and increased surveillance of rooftop areas.
