Vocational education is Australia’s key to bridging the skills gap
Clinton speaks with Mish Eastman, RMIT’s Deputy Vice Chancellor VE & Vice President, about National Skills Week (19-26 August), which highlights the diversity and value of vocational education.
Ms Eastman emphasises that Australia’s national skills shortage demands we stop viewing vocational education (VE) as a fallback for those who don’t attend university.
Today’s VE offers in-demand skills, lifelong careers in various fields, and accelerated learning, allowing students to earn while they study.
It’s time to recognise vocational education as a vital, rewarding option, not a second choice.
