Watch out, Labor set to ‘savage’ family businesses

In the US, both political parties support aspiration and family businesses. In contrast, Australia has chosen to target family businesses adversely.

Alarmingly, most of Australia’s 2.5 million family enterprises, employing around five million people, are unaware of the impending impact from the Albanese government.

Mike is joined by Business Columnist Robert Gottliebsen from The Australian, who explains that new legislation will require these businesses to share management control with union delegates, disrupting their decision-making process and harming productivity.

While large enterprises can manage this change, family businesses, which rely on trust and efficiency, will struggle, Mr Gottliebsen says.
