Why are EVs experiencing big price drops?

Mike Jeffreys

Mike is joined by Trent Nikolic from Drive.com.au, about Tesla, who has dominated Australia’s electric vehicle market with over 50%, slashing prices on its Model 3 and Model Y single motor RWD variants by up to $5,000.  This marks the lowest prices yet for both models.

These price drops, alongside cuts by other manufacturers like BYD, MG, and GWM, are expected to attract new buyers and intensify competition, particularly in the sub-$40,000 market.

Additionally, Nissan, Polestar, Peugeot, Renault, and Ford have significantly reduced their EV prices in Australia.
