Clinton Maynard

Michael is joined by Dimitri Burshtein, former government policy analyst, for his thoughts on the Reserve Bank having its first independent review of its core objectives and operations since the early 1980s.

Board structure, experience and expertise, composition and its appointments process will be part of the review, to be delivered by March 2023, which Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers says is to ensure “we have the world’s best and most-effective central bank”.

Also, with talks of the Albanese government looking to cuts costs, Michael also discusses with Mr Burshtein the double-up between local, state & federal departments.
