Police have launched a manhunt after two men, father and son, were knifed at a construction site in Sydney’s inner west.
76-year-old Albert Metledge was killed while his son, 33-year-old son Antony, was critically injured when they were allegedly stabbed by a man known to them at a St Peters construction site.
Paramedics were called to the scene at around 1pm. The younger man was taken to hospital in a critical condition and has undergone surgery.

Police have released the name and photos of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the stabbing.
They are urging the public to call triple zero if they see Vladimir Kondakov, who is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a large build and a shaved head.
NSW Police Inspector Chad Deegenaars tells Ben Fordham it wasn’t a random incident.
“We’re still trying to piece together exactly what caused this incident or what the falling out or the motive was, but it certainly was a tragic result.”
