A man accused of being involved in a conspiracy to murder is suspected to be trying to find a way to flee the country.

Police believe 26-year-old Masood Zakaria is using short-term rentals to hide out in Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast with others known to him.

Detective Superintendent Grant Taylor told Chris O’Keefe police want to speak with him on a number of matters as part of investigations into an ongoing feud between criminal networks.

“We don’t believe they had a great deal of time to plan their escape.

“We think they may have organised some sort of short-term accommodation to conceal themselves until they can make some longer-term plans.”
