Months of non-stop rain has opened up potholes across the state, but one woman is going above and beyond to help drivers navigate them.

Jenny Hartich from the Central Coast uses bright, fluro spray paint to highlight potholes to drivers.

Jenny told Jim Wilson with all the rain we’ve had, the potholes are getting worse on the Central Coast.

“I put a circle around them so drivers know they should slow down. You really have to drive to the conditions.”

The NSW Government will invest $50 million to help regional and rural councils fix the increasing number of potholes.

NRMA spokesman Peter Khoury told Jim Wilson there’s a big job ahead to fix them.

“The scale and size is massive. We have had a record amount of rainfall.

“We are about 50 per cent up in calls, that’s a huge jump.”
