Pressure’s on: Premier pushed to act on taxi plate injustice
There is a fresh push for the state government to provide taxi plate owners with compensation.
5,000 families have been waiting seven years for compensation for plates purchased for at least $350,000 each that are now worth $20,000.
Yesterday, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers MP Robert Borsak grilled the Premier over his lack of action on the compensation.
Ben Fordham has been fighting on behalf of these families, to convince the government to do the right thing by the owners.
“How long can you string these people along?” Ben asks.
“How can you justify treating people this way?”
