BAN SCRAPPED | Aussie-themed products allowed at The Rocks Market
A ban on the sale of Australian-related items at The Rocks Market has been scrapped.
Minister David Elliott called in with the update after Ben Fordham revealed Place Management NSW changed their criteria to try and limit the number of tourists in the Rocks in favour of more locals.
Minister Elliott and Rob Stokes have agreed the idea is to be “shredded”.
“It is just ridiculous,” Mr Elliott told Ben Fordham.

Hap Hannan, owner of The Droving Dog, makes keyrings featuring Australian pennies with a kangaroo on them.
“Anything to do with the coat of arms isn’t welcome down in the Rocks Markets,” he told Ben.
Glassmaker Marc Sevitt has been selling glass kangaroos and koalas at the market for 20 years but has now been forced to make the move to Paddy’s Markets.
“I’m going where I’m wanted.”
