Push to ban mobile phones in schools across NSW
Mobile phones will be banned in schools across NSW if Labor wins next year’s state election.
Parents are urging the Education Minister to put out a blanket ban, amid claims their children are distracted by devices.
NSW Shadow Education Minister Prue Car told Joe Hildebrand it’s about supporting teachers and principals so they concentrate on their jobs.
“All the evidence is clear, we can’t be letting kids have mobile phones in classrooms.”
