‘Put our minds at rest’: Dick Smith’s plan to find MH370
Veteran aviator Dick Smith calls for a levy on airfares to fund a new search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight.
Efforts to find the MH370 and its 239 passengers, who went missing five years ago, was called off in 2017.
The entrepreneur is proposing a 10c levy on every plane ticket to raise money for a new search.
Mr Smith tells Ben Fordham the Deputy Prime Minister needs to take action.
“Michael McCormack… come out, show some leadership.”
“It could be done so cheaply no one would ever notice the difference.”
Mr Smith says a Qantas pilot told him, “there could be a fault in an oxygen cylinder which blew up and caused the whole problem.”
“We have to recover this plane so we can put our minds at rest.”
