Rabbitohs’ Premiership hopes dashed with ‘most damaging player’ Latrell Mitchell sidelined
The South Sydney Rabbitohs have lost star player Latrell Mitchell to a grade two reckless high tackle which put the Roosters’ Joey Manu in hospital.
Queensland great Billy Slater put little confidence in the Rabbitohs to win the Premiership without Mitchell.
“You’re a brave man to say that they can,” he told Mark Levy.
“Latrell Mitchell’s their most damaging player; he’s their most dynamic ball-runner, he creates so many opportunities for his outside men.
“I’ve got serious question marks [over] whether they can move forward in this competition.”
