Ramses II’s sarcophagus lands in Sydney in a historic coup
Bring your daddy, bring your mummy: Sydney will play host to the sarcophagus of Ramses II in a major win for Aussie Egyptologists.
Sydney’s Australian Museum in the heart of the city will host the gilded sarcophagus, allowing millions of Australians to see Ramses II for the first time.
The sarcophagus is the centrepiece of the new “Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs” exhibit which opens on November 18.
