Justin Bieber recently revealed he cannot blink or smile on one side of his face causing the rare neurological disorder to be put in the spotlight.

The superstar singer has postponed his world tour and told fans in an Instagram video he was being treated for Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a complication of shingles.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is an extremely rare condition that gets mixed up with Bell’s Palsy, a similar facial paralysis condition.

Dr Brad McKay told Deborah Knight, it’s not known exactly how many people have the condition.

“Over a lifetime it affects one in 20,000 people as an estimate.”
