NSW Police Commissioner, Karen Webb, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding a high-ranking police officer charged with drink-driving. 

This comes amidst criticisms over a lack of media releases regarding the man’s arrest and identification.

“We had to wait for the legal process to take its course and I can’t make that go any quicker”, Webb explained.

“Any suggestion that there’s a cover-up or interference, I reject”, she continued.
