Ray Hadley has called out Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe for branding Derryn Hinch a “white privileged male”.

The former senator criticised Adam Bandt for his comments on the Australian flag, after one of his staff members removed the flag from view at a Monday press conference.

Senator Thorpe responded to Mr Hinch’s comments on The Project, stating he “thinks he knows best”.

Ray believes Ms Thorpe’s argument was flawed.

“What’s Adam Bandt? [He’s] the leader of the Greens, earns a lot of money, privileged,” Ray said.

“So she’s criticising Hinch for being allegedly a middle-aged white colonised privileged bloke, in defending Adam Bandt who actually is by her testimony, a middle-aged white colonised privileged bloke!

“The argument is flawed in defending one person she attacks another, who in fact fits the same description barring the age difference!”
