Ray Hadley: Key point on Voice ‘initial action list’ is ‘already happening’
Ray Hadley says the Voice to Parliament agenda is “already happening” in Queensland after Fraser Coast locals were “chased” off a beach.
An anonymous person has supplied Senator Pauline Hanson with documents appearing to detail the National Indigenous Australian Agency’s (NIAA) “‘initial action list’ for the new Voice to Parliament”.
Among the proposed actions, one point claims the NIAA hopes to charge “96 per cent of Australians for the use of public beaches and any visits to national parks”.
But Ray Hadley says the action is already in motion after access to Burrum Heads beach was closed off by the Butchulla people, who were granted a native title grant for the area in 2019.
The National Indigenous Australians Agency is a federal government agency responsible for “whole-of-government coordination of policy development, program design, and service delivery for Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people”.
“Now, plenty of people who know a lot more about it than me say this is the Voice on steroids,” Ray said.
“We have 3000 Indigenous corporations across the country and by the way, they’re not subject to the same corporations law that normal companies are.
“They have their special Indigenous Corporations law. CATSI, it’s called.”
