Ray Hadley: ‘There’s one problem’ with state government going it alone
Ray Hadley has taken a swipe at the Queensland Premier, after an “absolute farce” of an announcement yesterday.
The state government approved a new purpose-built quarantine facility to be constructed nearby Wellcamp Airport in Toowoomba.
Defence Minister Peter Dutton told Ray the plan was “not something they’ve done in collaboration with the federal government”.
When asked if the Prime Minister was aware of the plans, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk quipped she was “quite sure he does now”.
“There’s one problem,” Ray said. “The only organisation that can allow aircrafts to come internationally into Toowoomba is the federal government.
“I mean, just absolutely glib and superior.
“If she thinks that sort of attitude’s going to get Scott Morrison across the line to allow flights into Toowoomba, she’ll be sadly mistaken.”
