Ray meets his little mate Malik, who bought him a gift

12-year-old Malik has been calling Ray for several years now from his home at Yamba, on the NSW North Coast.

Almost all of those calls revolve around sport, particularly Malik’s love of the Parramatta Eels and their captain Clint Gutherson.

So, when the Eels were scheduled to play Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium and Ray was locked in to commentate, Malik made sure his twin sister Yasmin, mum and older brother were going to be there.

Ray left the commentary box to finally meet his little mate in person and got rewarded with a gift.

Using his own money, Malik bought Ray this cracking Yamba BBQ apron.
