A Central Coast family has been able to react quickly after discovering a red-bellied black snack in their child’s toy room.

The parents immediately closed the door and placed a towel at the base to prevent the reptile’s escape.

Matt Stopford from Central Coast Snake Catchers has told Jim Wilson that the snake: “was just looking for somewhere to go and hide in the heat”.

“In the last week or so I’ve pulled about four or five snakes out of houses.”
