Regional travel decision under fire as Christmas holiday deadline looms
NSW Opposition leader Chris Minns has questioned why travel to highly-vaccinated regional areas hasn’t been reinstated early.
The Labor leader told Jim Wilson he was surprised by the economic recovery committee’s decision to keep the November 1 date in place.
“I did think that the government would change and allow regional travel for this weekend.
“We’ve really only got about 10 weeks to go before Christmas holidays, and many of these towns need to make up a tonne of money … in a very short space of time.”
