It seems the traditional Christmas retail rush is happening earlier than usual.

Many shops are having November sales and Black Friday is looming on the 25th.

Australian Retailers Association Chief Industry Affairs Officer Fleur Brown told Deborah Knight it’s looking like many retailers will be having a strong lead up to Christmas.

“Retail spending is at really high levels, people are shopping early this year. We are expecting a 3 per cent growth year on year.”
