REUNITED | Queensland border finally reopens
The Queensland border has finally reopened, reuniting family and friends after months apart.
Cars began entering the state as soon as checkpoints opened in the early hours of the morning.
All travellers from hotspot areas need proof of vaccination, a negative covid test within 72 hours, and an entry pass.
Nine News Queensland Reporter Peter Fegan told Chris Smith the entry pass wasn’t available until midnight.
“Let’s not forget what people have been through here.”
